Yup. I own quite a few - inherited from my father's estate. I'm not comfortable selling them, so they sit in a safe.
My late adoptive father, who died in 1981, once shot his revolver with me in the room. He was drunk off his ass. I have a late 1800s crank up music box and a lowboy with bullet holes in it. If I had been an adult and a policeman back then, his ass would have been arrested for child endangerment. If it were not for my mom yanking me out of the house at the time, not sure what could have happened, but looking back at it now, glad she did.
After my father died, my mom sold all the firearms he owned. Personally, I would have taken them to be destroyed.
