No weapon is more ‘deadly’ than another. The deadliness of any weapon is situational.

How deadly ANY weapon is determined by only one factor - the skill of the user.
And yeah - I get sarcasm

Actually, the deadliness of a weapon is determined by more than the skill of the user. This is why a slingshot expert is less deadly than a moderately proficient rifleman on an elephant hunt.
To return to our muttons, though, it seems pretty clear that guns cause more deaths than bows and arrows, if only because guns are more prevalent.
