As someone who doesn't drink any more by choice I have found some differing reactions to that. A lot of people assume that you have a problem if you don't drink alcohol. It doesn't seem to occur to them that not everyone who doesn't drink is fighting an addiction or has a religious reason for not drinking. I've also dealt with the 'who do you think you are crowd' by either being mocked or not being invited to attend events where adult beverages are involved. The second Christmas after I just decided not to drink my mother's comment to me was this: Are you going to have a drink this year or are you still too good for the rest of us?

Yeah, WTF is that all about. It was so strange that I recall it clearly though it was in the nearly 40 years ago.
I used to tend bar and loved it. But I agree that if you are deciding the best libation to go with peanut butter cups, you have too much time on your hands.
