I wonder if Alec would have checked the gun (or insisted that it be checked) if he knew that it, during practice, was going to be aimed at him?

Any sensible person would.

Only a mindless drone would go along with " trust me - it' s safe"...

You know why our nuclear weapons take two men to turn keys simultaneously to fire them?

Because ANYBODY. - even a guy on the nuclear trigger can go off on a nut...... 


The second guy is a failsafe.

Mr Baldwin should have been the second man.
