I'm pretty sure the owner of a rental car company pays someone to check the brakes. The driver who rents the car certainly doesn't. Yet they hand us the key and say have a great time.
As the driver do you then aim the car at pedestrians, push the accelerator to the floor, not try to change direction and wait till the last minute to hit the brakes?
