Anne Of Green Gables, but only the version with Megan Follows.
In Music, it was ABBA in the 70's. In my circle they were considered a bit naff.
I was made aware of Harry Potter in 2000. Was visiting a friend who had 2 boys,11 and 12. She said the boys were devouring them. That she read the first one because she liked to know what her kids were reading. That it was a good read. Didn't read any of the books although I heard the last one read by Stephen Fry.(30 hours) Thought it was quite good. Hated the film.
Seemed to me that Harry Potter peaked with the first film and then steadily declined .
