I try to be a good, non-snarky patient but I think I might have answered that with "Why, do I look sleepy?"
I'm afraid I was a very poor patient when I was last in hospital for a 'procedure' . Had to have my plumbing renovated. The end result was that without consulting me, they inserted a catheter. We were not happy and complained until they gave Willy a shot.
Next morning, a male nurse came in to remove the catheter and lied right to my face. Quoth he "This won't hurt"
The surgeon was worse. He gave me some pills to deacidify my urine. He said "'it might sting a little for the next few days". He was not overstating the case. First time I took a pee I damn near fainted with the pain.
Why no, I don't have high pain threshold, why do you ask?
