The ones that are so vague they can be interpreted any way they wish.
Silly person!
Purely a clarification question. Are these predictions all Old Testimate? Also... accept for the second one (only because of dragons), all three will come to pass eventually as the sun expands into a red giant.
Yes, they are all OT.
Well, as the old saying goes, nothing lasts forever. But the Tanakh is not talking about the Sun turning into a red giant.
We can just use a few grains of human logic.
If they wanted to talk about the Sun turning into a red giant, they would have done so. Also, they would mention that all the oceans would be turned to gas and all life forms would be destroyed.
If they are singling out Damascus, this means that they aren’t talking about a red giant star.
Notice the line ===> they shall be for flocks
So, they are saying that some lifeforms will be there.
{17:3} The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim
^^^^^Whatever fortress they are talking about has probably been forgotten about thousands of years ago and probably is lying in ruins under sand.
Ephraim has probably been dead for a long time and his atoms have been spread around and some olive tree, grass, cow, chickens are probably using those atoms.
This is evidence that the writers of the Tanakh and also the Tanakh is a product of its time period.
and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria

They are not aware of emperor systems and ministers and presidents.

No mention of Coca-Cola, no mention of bags of Doritos, no mention of Coors, pizza, hamburgers, kebobs, tacos.
They tend to talk about natural (non processed) products.
Quote:Isaiah 17:1 KING JAMES VERSION
The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap. {17:2} The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid. {17:3} The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the LORD of hosts. {17:4} And in that day it shall come to pass, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall wax lean. {17:5} And it shall be as when the harvestman gathereth the corn, and reapeth the ears with his arm; and it shall be as he that gathereth ears in the valley of Rephaim. {17:6} Yet gleaning grapes shall be left in it, as the shaking of an olive tree, two or three berries in the top of the uppermost bough, four or five in the outmost fruitful branches thereof, saith the LORD God of Israel.
