That's just it.
If the evangelicals and dominionists in the US got their way, it would leads to an Islamic State/Teliban-type regime but with their version of "christian values".
Women would once again be basically property.
Education/science a thing of the past.
"Dissidents" (read: non-believers, wrong thinkers, and anyone who didn't agree with the regime) would be jailed or worse.
And there would likely be a massive war in the ME as the regime gets Israel to fight wars. After all, the main reason evangelicals support Israel is that they see this as a way of forcing the "end times" on everyone.
And, with 10,000+ denominations of christianity in the world, the likelihood of your version being in charge is remote.
And that would make you one of the dissidents.
I'd fight such a thing tooth and nail, and I suggest you do the same.
If he really is gay, as he says. He would most certainly be burned at the stake.

I was never truly "one" with the rest of the congregation, because I knew Catholicism wasn't the absolute truth, but only a version of the truth. Still, I got out of it what I needed to get out of it, and when I felt like there was nothing more to be gained, I left. Simple as that. My parents still love and support me, and I still have a good life. I wasn't fleeced by any priest, or any other kind of motivational speaker, for that matter. I've always been my own person, with or without religion. If there are people who are controlled by religion, that's on them. Deep down inside, they want to be controlled. You can't blame religion (or motivational speakers) for controlling people when some people already want to be controlled. There's a sucker born every minute.
So, you would say that for all of the 918 people who died in Jonestown, it was just their fault for falling for his indoctrination?
You seem to be equally indoctrinated by Trump. Will you drink his koolaid?

Late 18th century Britain was a theocracy?
Britain was always a theocracy. It slowly emerged from that over time until it became what is today, yet there is still an officially recognized religion.

100% wrong! Separation of government and religion is built into the Constitution. The founding fathers were specific about this because of the vast atrocities of Europe related to religion with or without democracy. You really know nothing about history, do you?
Why is it so?
