Mike Pence finally came forward to say that Trump was wrong to claim that he (Pence) had the authority to overturn the election. And now people are fawning all over him for having the courage to disagree with Trump.

No. Did he go to the media to alert the public? No. Did he resign in protest as a matter of conscience? No. He waited in the wings to see if Trump's coup would succeed. When it didn't, he threw in with the winning side.
