Biden not winning is not the same as trump winning.

That assumes that a Trumpian Republican wins. It’s entirely plausible that Biden will decide not to run, and the Democratic nominee will win.

Biden has committed to not running, although he could change his mind, his track record so far tend to offset the incumbent advantage. 

If biden does not run Harris will be the natural successor.  The GOP has already blackened her name and buries land mines for her to step on that she has not shown and savvy to avoid, that unless Biden’s pesidency is very popular indeed, which is improbable simply because the country is deeply and irreconcilably divided even without considering Biden’s uninspiring track record so far,  she is unlikely to win.

from now on and for the foreseeable future, republicans will reflexively deny without reason and without exception any moral authority for any democratic president or congress, and there will also be no tricks too dirty, no deception too vile, for them to use to crimp the legal and customary authority of the democratic president.  

The democrats had better learn to play this game with as much focus abs determination as the republicans if they were not to be slowly whittled into insignificant in a protracted war of thousands and thousands of cuts.

Why not forget about Biden  and Trump for a minute and concentrate on Ukraine?

Biden and Trump are a significant part of the Ukraine situation - Biden because of what he’s trying to do about it, Trump for enabling Putin to do it in first place.

For what it’s worth, there have been a total of eight posts (including this one) that mentioned Biden and/or Trump. Out of 429 total posts.

trump may be a treasonous bastard that will sell any part of the country to putin,  but he did not enable putin in the invasion of Ukraine.

However he did furnish one of the two direct reasons for it.   The one he furnished is the American unilateral withdrawal from intermediate nuclear forces treaty with russia in 2019.  this removed treaty restriction against the US placing intermediate range offensive nuckear weapons in Europe that can launch an unanswerable first strike against russian capital and nuclear deterrence based in Europe.    it also showed relying on treaty with the US for security is foolish because the US back out treaties it sign at will. 

The other direct reason was 90% furnished by George W Bush through inciting the colored revolution in Ukraine in 2005 and setting ukraine oh the path to join NATO,  and 10% exacerbates by the Obama administration by encouraging the Euromaiden uprising in Ukraine in 2014.   This potentially furnished the US, through NATO, with the best possible place from which to launch these intermediate and medium range missiles mentioned above.

biden is not part of the solution.   he forced the issue to come to a head by pushing both reasons, one created by trump and the other largely by bush.

there are two fuses, one lit by bush, one by trump,   biden blew on both fuses when the fuses are right about to enter the bomb.
