Because the Quran doesn't make any sense unless the reader believes that what's mentioned in it is real 100%.
In this age, we discovered that over 80% of all matter in the universe is made up of material scientists have never seen. Black holes even look us in the face but we can't see them but we can only measure their effect on the surrounding bodies.
The word spiritual is what ancients used to describe phenomena they can't understand.

Hell is here on Earth, for those who create suffering for themselves or others - so there is a tiny chance Winterhold is metaphorically right?
I always think about life as a "limited, timed trial" that must end; but there are fates worse than it's suffering; like spending 2×10100 years in a black hole.
