We've had this discussion before. The US also has hate speech laws, which in no way run afoul of our 1st amendment rights (which are not equivalent to your first amendment rights..you filthy canadian), a question that has been repeatedly asked and answer in our courts throughout history. The right of americans to say horrible shit is in no way being infringed..even as the protected speech which is threatened in the us is being threatened by the people who insist their right to say horrible shit is being abrogated.
