Don't worry guys, Polymath has done all of the work for you already and he's already reached the right conclusions on your behalf, you don't need to go snooping around for evidence or thinking critically for yourself.
Go back to bed, Polymath will tuck you in and keep you there if you let him.
You don't have to trust me. You can get a telescope yourself and look. it isn't that hard or even that expensive. Don't get a department store telescope: the optics are horrible and the mounts are unstable. But you can get a decent scope for less than $300.
In fact, I encourage people to do this. It is a fun and fascinating hobby.
