Slave women were no longer sexually attractive when they reached middle age and were cheaper and were freed in their old age because the cost of keeping them was higher than the profit of their work.
How precisely does this differ from the other Abrahamic religions? The Tanakh has lots of rules as to how slaves of Jews are to be treated, and plenty of Christians made a fine living as slavers, until they were forcibly stopped.
In fact, I'm hard-pressed to think of any religion that hasn't, at some point, endorsed and approved of one form of slavery or another.
