This is a false equivalence. The mistreatment of Uighurs is a domestic issue, whereas the Russians are exporting evils to a country which did nothing to merit such slaughter and depredation.

Taiwan? They are already functionally independent. If the Chinese are stupid enough to launch an amphibious assault across 100 miles of salt water, we should remember the words of Napoleon: "Never interrupt your enemy while he's making a mistake."

You seem to think that Russia had no choice but to do America's bidding when it launched its unprovoked invasion, and that the Ukrainians should have honestly considered subjugation as an acceptable peace term.
It goes without saying that I find both strains of thought hopelessly useless, and out of touch with the fact that both nations have agency in their own decisions. Chomsky should stick to linguistics.
