If Buddhists accepted the idea of personal death, they wouldn’t believe in reincarnation. These are mutually exclusive positions.
If it’s any consolation to you, rest assured that reincarnation isn’t a thing.

I was going to disagree with you here, but with some searching, it seems the Buddhist has a wide range of traditions on of what is preserved during reincarnation or rebirth (not necessarily the same thing).
