The original principal of the high school I attended was a Catholic monk....a brother.
About halfway through my high school years he left the order and married a woman who was a former nun. She wasn't from a local convent so not sure how that little romance came about. Lots of people were upset by it. How dare they? A bride of Christ marrying a member of clergy. Funny, he was seldom mentioned with relation to the school after a time while the nun who helped him get it running was nearly sainted by people around town.
I liked Br. Michael. Hope his life turned out well.
