I understand trans folk wanting their rights, but maybe it’d be better for optics to focus on the rights their cis counterparts have that they don’t. There’s always going to be some idiots who see marginalized groups fighting for human rights and think they’re asking got special treatment, I know, but it’d probably be best to make those types right as little as humanly possible.
US prisons are not run to the same standards as UK ones (which are themselves pretty low standards). For example UK prisons aren't allowed to use cruel and unusual punishment.
The barbiturates Missouri used to kill Amber were purchased from an anonymous vendor who was paid in cash, likely, some individual who made them via some homebrew concoction, as no reputable pharmaceutical compsny will sell them. The State of Idaho has some higher standards and canceled their December execution, as they could not find a legitimate supplier. More information on the MADP website.
