They overwhelm Ukrainian defenses with waves of convicts from Russian prisons. Than they send more of them to place mortars among those bodies. Than they send real soldiers to use these mortars. Then, with the help of their artillery, they send real Wagner troops to make a final push on Ukrainian defense lines (Which are probably repositioning one or two kilometers behind). It’s the technique that was used by Stalin in WWII. It’s very costly in terms of human life. I don’t know for how long they can keep using this technique in the 21st century.
