My bad, I didn't know this was the comparative linguistics thread, I thought it was about a mass shooting in belgrade. You've already informed me, as our resident science authority, that the field is only as good as this study, so..yeah, I guess we'd have to reject the whole thing? My point is, if you reject the Gary Kleck's study on the grounds that it has a too small sample size, what justification do you have for accepting mainstream comparative linguistics and mainstream linguistic typology and the scientific consensus of other fields where a study with a larger sample size is impossible?
