The problem is the lack of Jesus in this church
Quote:Fire engulfs 160-year-old Massachusetts church after lightning strikes
A historic Massachusetts church went up in flames after being struck by lightning, fire officials said Saturday.
The 160-year-old church in the town of Spencer, about 10 miles west of Worcester, was engulfed and is a total loss, church and fire officials said.
The First Congregational Church had stood on that spot since its predecessor was also consumed by fire in 1862. According to church history, a building of worship has been on that land since 1743.
There were no injuries. Nonetheless residents watched in horror as nearly 100 firefighters from about 20 departments battled the blaze

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
