Just how many Medieval texts do you imagine are left untranslated?
There is a huge gulf separating the utility of Latin from that of English. The latter is the lingua franca of the modern world. It it the common language of science, tourism, international business, and comprises almost 2/3 of the text content of the internet. Latin is a dead language, interesting only to a small number of hobbyists and academics. Anyone who needs to know Latin already does.
