I am from Croatia. I meant that stories about people flying on airplanes sound unreal, like stories about people flying on dragons. Up until a few years ago, I thought that airplanes don't exist, in part because they appear to contradict the Torricelli's Law. I wrote about it here: https://atheistforums.org/thread-50241.html

Had you never seen a plane in the sky?  Never heard one fly overhead?  Do they not have airports in Croatia?  

This is batshit crazy.

The Austro-Hungarian empire in WWI had (for the time) a relatively modern air force. It stands to reason, then, that this ignorance of heavier-than-air flight belongs to the poster and not the nation.
