Good thing my grandpa was a German immigrant and not someone trying to come up into the states from south of the border.

Millions of Latinos have come and achieved the dream. That's what America is about.

When I run payroll, most of the recipients are those people.  And they often cross back and forth to keep their paperwork up-to-date and to reconnect with family.

They pay taxes, some are contributing to an IRA, they work a lot of hours...not sure if they have time between work and family to also be drug runners.  

Your back pedaling is quite impressive.
