The absurd basis for christianity is finding a dislike for something and making it a sin for anyone else to like it.

Some goat herder doesn't like figs. "I decree god says it's a sin to eat figs. Therefore, thou and thou and thou shalt not eat figs."

Well, you could try explaining the conflict between your view that sin is a choice and the scriptural evidence that God forces people to sin. You could say that, if you’re so inclined.
