Don't be stupid. It says the Most High divided the nations, and to a sub-deity, the Most High portioned out Israel to a lesser deity.
Does it say the Most High gave Israel TO HIMSELF ? Nope.
Israel at this point was a polytheistic society. Yahweh had a wife, Ashera. Monotheism did not come in until much later.
