I have a more serious question: why do the accusations of insanity in religious discussions always lack the "reason/cause" of the accusation?

Am I mad and crazy for stating obviously that I believe in a God who made the universe ?
I mean judging from the numbers of believers, I'm not so crazy ! To numbers, I'm..so mainstream !
