Seriously, Facebook is only as dangerous as you let it be. Think of it as a bulletin board where anything you put on it can be seen by everyone in public. I don't share much of my information for this very reason. Never mention your vacation on Facebook until you return home. Just use common sense and you'll be OK.
It's okay. When I go away I leave my attack grandparents home and send someone to check on them every now and then.
I pretty much just use common sense on facebook. One thing I almost forgot about once was the little chat thing at the bottom of web articles. I almost posted a whole bunch of nasty comments in response to an article on an AFA website. Luckily, I realized I still have my job (working at a church) on my profile and decided it's not worth losing it.
