I just read that 30% to 50% of people have no internal dialog. They walk around with nothing going on in their heads? Thinking about that, it explains a lot.

Was trying to remember where this was so I could state this:

Dexter has an inner dialogue he refers to as his dark passenger.

Julian Jaynes wrote a popular book in the 70s arguing that in ancient times people experienced their inner voice as the voice of an other, such as a god.
