The town we live in has doubled in size since we moved here in 2006. The city is getting closer. We are 30 miles from downtown Dallas but city problems are moving this way. In the last month two young men - 17 and 18 years old - were shot and killed in a 'burb about two west of here. To wrap up January an 18 year old who was well-liked and respected died due to a Fentanyl overdose. The story is that he didn't think what he was taking was Fentanyl. Three young men in a month, gone. This town has changed a lot in the last 17+ years. smh - will be having another warning talk with granddaughter when she comes home from college in a couple weeks.
