It’s clearly too soon  to tell, but I expect that this will turn out to be a massive mistake on the part of Iran.

I wouldn't be so sure, no sane US politician wants to engage in a serious entanglement in Iran (because it would end up being a quagmire mixing the worst aspects of the Afghani and Iraqi invasions and blowing them up ten fold, at best) and frankly, for Israel it's Benny's Operation Barbarossa moment.

I wasn’t even figuring the US as part of it. And I really doubt that any further fighting between Israel and Iran merits a comparison to Barbarossa.
