Would you say that the majority of people in Iran want the US to choose their government? The last time that happened it didn't turn out too well.

Plus, fairly recently, we actually did try and overthrow two brutal Islamist regimes, one in Iraq and one in Afghanistan, and the results? Things have only changed for the worse. Seriously, if you're an Iranian and want to know why the US doesn't overthrow the Ayatollah and Pals, just look next door. I'm not saying the regime isn't horrible, because it is. But there's no fucking way that having a bunch of Islamist hard-line groups fighting over control of the country is going to be any better.
