What is considered "progressive" these days is actually regressive.

Nah progressives are progressives

I'd rather follow the ancient traditions and be conservative. 

Which is the definition of being regressive 

Restoring traditional gender roles and the patriarchy would actually be true progress for humanity

Nope that regression of the highest form progress will come from rejecting all that shit
