Most of our mail is filed directly in the trash but if we get a new debit/card I would imagine the price would be sky high if the issuing bank had to use UPS or Fedex.(February 20, 2025 at 10:57 pm)arewethereyet Wrote: So Trump now plans to take over the Post Office.
I assume the next thing is going to renaming the United States to something like the Kingdom of Trumpty Dumpty.
I'm good with that. Does he think he can compete with FedEx, UPS, or Amazon?
USPS was great for letters, back in the day. I had penpals all over, first-class letters across the country in two days tops. But nowadays, when shipping packages, it's inefficiency as usual, considering that consumers want it NextDay at no additional cost. I sent a guitar to a needy picker in Seattle back in 2015. It took six days and about $80.
Post is not about 1-oz first-class letters any more, it's about ordering and delivering within 48 hrs based from local warehouses and USPS just can't do that.
My main concern is that he is trying to take over everything...absolutely everything and he isn't, nor are his cronies, skilled in many of the areas he is barging in on.
