I only hope that Trump screws up bad enough that there's a HUGE blue wave in 2026 and 2028.  He's got a lot of his own voters pissed because DOGE cut their job or the funding they need for their farm or something.  Now even more are going to be mad when tariffs cause inflation to go WAY up.  Then it will just be a question of how bad things will get and how much the MAGA crowd will believe the right wing talking points from Faux News that caused this nonsense in the first place.

We just have to hope that those are free and fair elections.

I confess doubts on that score.

Yeah, I'm there with you.  I mean, Trump has already been caught trying to cheat in 2020, most obviously when he basically ordered an official to find him 10,000 more votes.  And we never punished him and barely punished his angry mob so that was just practice.  I wish the democrats would find republicans even just half as aggressively as republicans fight democrats.

The democrats look feckless and ridiculous, clutching pearls and ululating. They have no unified strategy to counter the Fanta Fascist. Just the same performative tactics and sneering.

We're living in reality TV. Somebody mention that to the dems.

Yeah, honestly, I think the only thing democrats have going for them is that they aren't republicans.  That's a big improvement, but, damnit, try to stand for something!

I've heard this is that he read about reports about transgenic mice and doesn't understand science well enough to understand that there's a difference between "transgender" and "transgenic."  I doubt he has the slightest idea of the kinds of scientific research we do with transgenic mice, but he's probably convinced it involves vaginoplasty for the mice.  And I wish that last part was a joke, but I seriously think that's what he believes.
