I listened to a John Grisham book over the last couple weeks (I have never read him before, but it had been suggested by a couple family members). I was under-impressed but decided that maybe I picked the wrong book. So I started another of his and it had better grab my attention soon. As it stands, I don't think he, or his genre, is the thing for me.
Before I drive to and from SC I need to find something to listen to.
Back looking for suggestions. I ended up listening to three Grisham books and for me it was three strikes, you're out.
I also listened to a book my daughter suggested and couldn't figure out the fascination, which is bad as there were sequels that may have gotten me through my drive.
I can always relisten to the Lizbeth Salander books but I have listened to them all multiple times. Have thought of LOTR but not sure.
Good psychological thrillers are more to my liking than courtroom stuff...anybody have an idea? I have two drives of about 15 hours each so I need something to pass the time.
I think ‘Shutter Island’ is terrific read.
On the John Grisham thing, I largely agree. However, filmed version of his novels are generally better than the books.
I’m currently working my way through the collected works of Charles Dickens.
