I wish this site was more active. There's a lot of discussions that I want to chime in on but they're mostly dormant for over thirty days and the site suggests making a new thread instead.

If your unsure if a particular thread is ressurectable, you can either do what awty suggested or you can start a new thread on the same topic, saying something like,

'In an old thread, so-and-so said such-and-such, and it got me to thinking that so-and-so ate lead paint chips as a child. Here's why...' and so on. You can even take quotes from the old thread and post them in your new one and respond that way.

That particular guideline isn't there to stifle discussion, but for the reasons awty stated.
