Carradine did a job job as the sergeant, and other actors did serviceable work, but the scripting and directing, bleh.
I’m actually a bit more snooty about film adaptations of works of fiction than about ‘historical’ films. I will never forgive Peter Jackson for leaving out Tom Bombadil.
