It depends on what you, or someone else, considers "good". If you're living a simple life in a small town generally away from the disabling politics of the nation, a cup of coffee in the morning and a casual telly show in the evening will be good. If you're being mentally weighed down by others locked in constant political battle, focusing on "good" tends to be a matter of self delusion rather than facing reality.

And yet rural voters overwhelmingly vote Republican in an attempt to Make America Great Again, ostensibly to recapture a golden age when things were good.

Then allow me to correct myself in stating that we're all self-deluded to some degree.
