Part of me is reminded of Jimmy Savile, the famed British media man famous for two things:
1) Raising a fuckton of money for charity.
2) Being one of the most prolific sex offenders in recorded history.
Apparently, at least if the Netflix doco about him is any indication, he did #1 to offset any salvation-related issues caused by #2. He died with his fingers crossed, hoping that this plan would work.
I imagine this, but then I think “is Trump actually doing any good that would actually help anybody but himself? Or his obscenely rich and/or obscenely racist buddies?” Even the ceasefire in Gaza (which I can only assume is what makes him think he’s earned a Nobel Peace Prize) doesn’t seem to be holding.
