It looks like the plaque psoriasis that I have around my ankles, though not as scaly. It's an odd location. It doesn't have the skin-flaking that I experience; it may be new, as that's how my ps expressed when it first cropped up -- bright and rashy, not dull and flaky. But the proud redness is congruent with an active outbreak, which I see myself still at times.
It's also aggravated by stress, which I'm sure he's feeling about right now.
