If Iran’s claim on the Strait of Hormuz was accepted that would generate some 80 Billion $/year for the revolutionary guards. I don’t know how much of this is correct.

We have a saying here in America: possession is 9/10 of the law. Since the illegal assault by Israel and America, Iran simply decided to play the cards in its hands. It's not legal and I don't like it, but this is a reaction, not an initiative, and I can't fault them for that. "You want to bomb my economy into the stone age? Fuck you, your economy, and your legal hypocrisy."
