Regardless; how about you respond to my rebuttal, instead of just attacking me? It makes me sad how atheists seem to be so interested in a logical, sensible discussion until it is time to actual have one.
ya Minimalist, you should be nice to the new members. does a second opinion hurt science? i thought you would all sides of the information to form a non biased point of view.. unless you don't care about truth that is. anyways, welcome organiccornflake. i wasn't talking about archeological finds, but that is a good point. i was talking about the few scientific passages in the bible like the earth being round, the universe expanding etc.

you fail to state when their rule started. it started around 16 century BC. during this time the Jews existed and kept their culture, religion, literature, and language. why don't i let the facts speak for themselves.
Quote: At the beginning of the 2nd millennium BCE, a rich urban civilization reappeared in the Land, and fortified city-states once again dotted the country. In written documents, the Land is called Canaan for the first time. Some scholars have suggested that this period, during which pastoral, tribal societies lived on the outskirts of Canaan ’s large cities, should be seen as the backdrop for the biblical stories of the Patriarchs .http://www.english.imjnet.org.il/htmls/p...&bsp=14381
Egypt ’s influence over Canaan began in the second half of the 16th century BCE, and direct Egyptian rule commenced in the early 15th century BCE. Despite this, the Canaanites retained their cultural and spiritual independence, and, in fact, their achievements in the realms of religion, literature, and art reached a peak .
The end of the 13th century BCE was a time of worldwide upheaval, which culminated in the fall of many great empires. Egypt weakened, and around 1200 BCE its rule over Canaan began to draw to a close .
reguardless of what you may think, they existed. here's some more information

Early Israelite culture cannot be separated easily from the culture of "Canaan."1 The highlands of Israel in the Iron Age (ca. 1200-587) reflect continuity with the "Canaanite" (or better, West Semitic2) culture during the preceding period both in the highlands and in the contemporary cities on the coast and in the valleys3.
Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
