- Israel’s strategy does not fit into anything either. All of this made sense if there was a new regime in Iran with whom Israel and the rest of the world could negotiate on key issues. The regime in Iran is still a regime that vows to destroy Israel. No matter how much you hit them, they will sell more fossil fuels and rebuild both Hamas and Hezbollah no matter how many times the IDF strikes them.
So the next two years are going to be difficult for Israel too. Then there will be another US administration who will be left to deal with this mess and more messes that D. Trump is going to do until 2028. Will this US administration be able to re-normalize all of that? – I don’t know.
