This in a way, nullifies free will. Since it actually isn't freewill if God baked us together with his ingredients and knows the outcome.
If the god knows the path of every human, he has already predetermined who will go to hell or not or who will turn out to be evil or not.. who will be an atheist or not and who will turn out to be a theist. So he then causes conflicts in between the two even though he created every single one of them in a certain way and purposely did so, just for his own entertainment? It would feel strange to say that a God would need entertainment since that would be a human trait, why would an all-powerful being need entertainment?
Thoughts on this?
Good questions. If I could ask you question, what is free will? Is it subjective or objective? Does it depend on temporal state?
While I could attempt to answer your question, I couldn't justify how god could be benevolent while being omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient.
Free will does seem to be an illusion, but maybe not because of the discoveries in quantum mechanics, where "true" randomness has been found.
It does seem that most of what we do is predetermined on a deeper level. Personality being one, turning out to be a theist or an atheist is another.
And this is one of the reasons which makes god even more improbable. I never chose to be an atheist, events happened and my mind was in a state to begin with were no deity was needed.
And this would be the opposite for a theist. I just don't think there was a "choice" to begin with for either, you could say well I did turn to god for these and these reasons. But if that is the case, your mind would of been attracted to those reasons before you ever heard about them.
Just as my mind is attracted to reason and science, I'm open to anything though even god, but my brain requires reason for that choice.
Let me know what you think.
