Huh? What does that have to do with it making him cool? He did his job. That's fucking awesome. The SEALS did their job too, which is significantly harder on a personal level.
This is a bad analogy, but drawn from personal experience, if I told a cook to make a special and was aware that the special was being made by that cook, but took no part in actually making it, do I get credit for its success? No. Good on me that I made sure it got done, but I didn't fucking do it.
On the other hand, if I told the cook to set fire to the kitchen of a esteemed establishment in the name of patriotism, but took no part in actually setting the fire, do I get blamed for the inferno? No? Good. GW Bush would be your best friend.
The Seals are cool. But without Obama, how cool? As cool as anyone could be who swaggers around their barracks bragging about how cool they are. Have they been made cooler than that? Yes. How? By Obama telling them specifically where to convert their coolness into something useful to the country.
