No, I didn't ever mean to imply that Obama himself was personally and solely responsible for getting Osama. I'm just trying to point out the absurdity of saying that he had absolutely nothing to do with it when he gave the go-ahead order.
And my comparison to Hitler wasn't technically a Godwin, since a Godwin argument usually goes something like, "Obama is a non-smoker. You know who else was a non-smoker? Hitler!" I suppose instead of that comparison, I could have just made the comparison of "If Obama wasn't responsible for getting Bin Laden, then GW Bush wasn't responsible for the fuck-up in Iraq."
But at any rate, I guess it doesn't really matter, since no amount of convincing will ever make right-wing nutjobs credit Obama with anything good.
