Context:
Mainstream Christianity has no problem with evolution or with accepting that The Book Of Genesis is meant to be allegorical.
The lunar literalist fanatics are in the minority in Christendom,albeit still 'true' Christians. They seem more important than they are because they have far more power than they have a right to in a democratic society. This is shamefully true in the US and too much so in Australia (in my opinion)
