It's okay. I don't find it offensive.
They are all already gone. One died many years ago, but I didn't get the date for his death when I got this tattoo because I was so young I didn't remember what year it was that he passed away off the top of my head and I got the tattoo in a hurry. I got the tattoo the day after someone passed away and included a few other aspects, but I was very far away from home when I got it, so I was then unable to add the date for Shane. Two of my grandparents died in the past two years, so I also have to add them. I got the rose for my other grandmother, who died when I was eight, but I have since decided to add her date to it as well, to add some cohesiveness to it. Also, my other grandmother liked yellow roses too, so I figure that can represent the matriarchs of my family. She was still alive when I got it and, being young, I didn't imagine it would have to represent her anytime soon. I was wrong.
